Pictured below is Becky Parker, Book Sales Co-chair with Scott Gregory, Librarian for the Western Illinois Correctional Center. (July 2021) The Correctional Center was just one of a number of social service agencies that received books not sold during the 2021 Heritage Days Book Sales. In August a few hundred books were given to the Rushville Treatment and Detention Facility. As part of the on-gong culling process, Becky and Elisa Rasmussen, have selected books to donate to nursing home, WIRC, McDonough County jail, and other social service agencies.

Thanks to continued donation of books, CDs, and DVDs, a larger stock of new material will be available for our next book sale. Donations of good conditioned, timely books and media are always welcomed. Call the library if you would like to drop them off at the library or if you would like books to be picked up.
